Dear Parents,
My name is Suzanne Curtis, and I am very happy to know that your child will be in my second grade class for the 2008 – 2009 school year. I am excited about this opportunity to work with your child as he/she learns many new skills. I believe that second grade students are at such an exciting time in their school career. School is still a fairly new adventure for them, and they are enthusiastic and eager to learn. They are also able to do so much independently, and this makes them feel very grown up.
Oak Grove Elementary has the honor of being an Arts Integrated school. This means that fine arts standards will be taught in conjunction with core curriculum standards.
